Love my Sweet Boy!

These last few months have gone by so fast and Logan just keeps doing new things and growing everyday! I figured we live so far away from family, that I would give you a little update on our big boy! He is almost 8 months and weighs about 22 pounds! He is so much fun, we can't get enough of him. Just before Halloween, Logan and I were able to go home to California for a few days. It was Logan's first time flying and he did good, however if it was any longer of a flight we might have been in trouble because he likes to move! We were able to see a lot of family the short time we were home. We were able to get Logan's skunk costume that my mom made, it was so adorable! And we took some cute pictures in grandpa's pumpkin patch! Logan has a stuffed Tigger, that the twins gave him, in his bed and he just loves it, when he wakes up, we here him playing and talking and it is Tigger who he is playing with and talking to! He often falls asleep on him too during his naps!
Logan is crawling all over, although sometimes his legs go faster that his arms and he face plants! He can sit himself up and just started pulling himself up on things to stand. He is getting better at eating solids and now loves cheerios! He is pretty good at a sippy cup too! He is getting his first 2 bottom teeth, which has been not so fun, expecially since he has had a cold too! We love our sweet little boy so much and love being parents, it is truely the best thing in the world!

They Grow Too Fast!

Logan is almost 5 months old. This time has gone by so fast. He is getting so big and growing so fast. At his 4 month appointment he weighed 17.3 lbs and was 251/4 inches long. The doctor even called him a buddha! He loves to smile and he is generally very happy! He rolls over all the time. He loves to stick out his tongue and chew on his fingers. . . . his thumb is now beginning to be a new favorite (we'll see if he ends up being a thumb sucker). He loves the sound of his own voice, and loves all of his toys. He smiles all the time, but as soon as you get the camera out, that smile disappears and he just stares at the camera, such a stinker! We just started him on baby food, so far he really likes sweet potatoes, but he is still learning how the whole spoon thing works. We feel so blessed to have this little guy in our lives. He is so healthy and strong and so much fun! We love him so much and can't get enough of him. . . which leads to sometimes a very sleep deprived mom when I have to work! But it is oh so worth it!

I have a lot of pictures on my phone because it's usually right there, but can't figure out how to get those pictures on the computer. But here are a few recent ones from our camera.

I just love his eyes in these pictures

Watching TV with dad!

I got up from sleeping after work one afternoon and he was so happy, nothing but smiles and giggles for me just talking to him!

And this is his newest look. . . tongue sticking out!

Happy boy!

He loves Champ! And Champ is so good with him! (sorry the picture is the wrong way)

First Few Weeks With Logan

Logan is now 2 and a half weeks old and all I can say is we love this boy so much and feel so blessed to have him! It is so wierd to know that I am a mom and that this precious little boy is ours! Motherhood is challenging, but I love it. He still has day and night mixed up...thanks to my working nights I am sure, so we don't get a whole lot of sleep. He is a pretty good baby, usually only cries when hungry or now when he has bad gas pains and wants to be held! I love to look at him and love all the faces and noises he makes! He is very strong and I feel like he is growing so fast already! Here are some pictures from his first few weeks.

Logan's first bath at home, as you can see he did not like it.

Much better now that he is all wrapped up.

First real bath, he likes this one a lot better!

But still not too sure about it!

Loves to sleep on mommy. . . and mommy loves it too.

Look at the dimples!

So cute!

Baby Logan is Here!

So I am going to do this in 2 posts, this one will be of his birth and the next will be his first few weeks.
I had my doctors appointment on thursday, April 1st. I was really hoping I had progressed from my last appointment and the doctor would tell me to go to the hospital. But, despite continuing to work full time (12 hour shifts on my feet and walking!) there had been no progression for 3 weeks! I was a little dissapointed, one because I wanted to have this baby so I could hold him, and two because I was scheduled to work over the whole weekend and really didn't want to! But then the doctor explained that we could wait to see what happened in the next week and then talked about being induced and asked if I would like to have him this weekend . . . of course I said YES! So he went to check to see when he could get me in the hospital to induce me, he came back and said what about today! I said today works great!
I ended up checking into the hospital that night at 11:30, (they were super busy so we had to wait). Once I was admitted and settled in, the nurse checked me and I had actually progressed a little from my doctors appointment...(I guess this kid just needs to be threatened to do what I want!). So they induced me just after midnight and by the morning I was ready! A few good pushes and baby Logan was here!!! He weighed 7lbs 11oz. and was 19.5 inches long and completely perfect! I know I am extremely lucky and had a great pregnancy and birth. Logan is absolutley amazing, we love him to pieces already and can never get enough of him!

36 Weeks and Ready

So I am now 36 weeks, and by request (mostly from my mother) I have posted some pictures of the baby's room and my current belly. I am finally getting a little tired of being pregnant, the waking up every couple hours to pee or switch sides is getting old and the swollen feet after a night at work or a long day don't go down all the way anymore! But I really can't complain, pregnancy has not been bad at all and I am so grateful for that. We are so excited for this little guy to come though! Ben always says to him that "it's time to come out and play!" And I agree, so enjoy the pictures and the next post will probably be after Baby Logan is here!

7 Weeks to GO!!!!

So I am now past 7 months along and counting down the weeks! It is such an exciting time. A couple of weeks ago we were able to go back home for a few days and it was so good to see everyone, but it was way too short of a trip. While we were home I had a baby shower. It was so much fun and baby Logan got lots of cute clothes and blankets!

I have 7 weeks to go and I think the nesting part of pregnancy is really setting in. . . it could also be that we have been having spring like weather with temperatures in the 70's lately, but I have just been trying to get this house ready to have a baby, cleaning and trying to put his room together! (whereas a couple of weeks ago I would be resting on the couch and napping, don't get me wrong this still occurs, just not as much!) This baby is definitely growing as I am getting more and more uncomfortable, and the 12 hour shifts on my feet leave them very swollen! As soon as we get the babies room done I will post some pictures, but here are some from the baby shower.

Me at 7 months!

The cute belly cake that my cousin Laurie made for the shower and it was so yummy!
